Brighton Commercial Photography - Alternative Therapy Website Photoshoot

Covering commercial photography assignments in Brighton is pretty varied and always a lot of fun. I especially like creating photographs for business websites as it often becomes a real team effort with myself, the client, their marketing/branding team and the web designer all working together to get the best results. Its a real creative collaboration with everyone adding their skills and ideas to the project, perfect.

Every commercial photography assignment is different, which is something I love as no day is ever the same. Sometimes I have a fixed brief, but more often than not, I'm asked to contribute my ideas and suggest the type of images I think are required and how the photos should look.

Recently I was approached by Hannah, a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, based in Hove, Brighton, who needed some photographs taken for her business website. She had discovered my photography website and loved my style of commercial photography. I'll let her explain -

"Hi Scott
Just come across your website, and I really like the feel of what you do. I am a qualified Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, and I'm in the process of getting my website done and need some photos. They need to tell a bit of a story, so you sound ideal. I need some pictures of me working, a portrait photo of me, images of my treatment room and some shots of my clients during the therapy session."

After receiving her photo enquiry, we chatted over the phone. It's vital that I talk with my clients so I can better understand their business and create relevant storytelling photographs for their website. I then followed up with an email containing my ideas, which Hannah liked and we set about arranging a date to take the photos. The shoot went very well, and I was pleased with the final images. I wanted to create a natural feel to the pictures, so I used only available light to create the look I was after. I added some colour presets to the final photos and created several different versions so Hannah could make the final choice. All the images were delivered electronically, before the required deadline and on budget.

Soon afterwards I received this fantastic review -

"Scott took some photos for my Craniosacral therapy website. He really understood where I was coming from and what I needed. He has captured the mood and feeling perfectly, and everyone comments on how good my photos are. He also worked wonderfully with my 9-year-old son and his friend as I needed a shot of them for my kids page. I couldn't recommend him enough, AND he was a thoroughly good chap!"

It's lovely to get such great feedback, thanks, Hannah.
